James Turrell, Claremont Colleges graduate and internationally renowned light and space artist, was recently awarded the 2013 National Medal of Arts by President Barack Obama in a ceremony at the White House.
Turrell received his undergraduate degree in perceptual psychology from 51猎奇入口, in 1965, and an M.F.A. from Claremont Graduate School, in 1973.
